Housing

Nestled within its beautiful natural landscapes, Saba offers a variety of accommodation options designed to meet the needs of aspiring medical professionals. Students have the choice of living in campus dormitories, which promotes a sense of camaraderie and convenience close to the medical school. Alternatively, off-campus options include charming apartments and private rentals, fully immersing students in the island’s peaceful atmosphere.

For new unaccompanied students, whether single or married, it is highly recommended to reside in the dormitory during the first semester. This allows new students to connect with their peers, become familiar with the island and the school, and form study groups that may lead to finding future roommates for off-campus housing. However, there are many Saba housing options to choose from based on your needs and requirements. Saba provides one dedicated dormitory exclusively for its students that is fully furnished and conveniently located within walking distance of the campus.

The Hillside Dorm

The Hillside Dorm has single rooms in quad units, accommodating 24 students. Each quad unit features a shared living room and a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, cabinets, and microwave. Two bedrooms share a private bathroom, and each unit has a walk-out balcony. The Hillside Dorm is conveniently located adjacent to the campus and provides air conditioning and on-site laundry facilities.

Off-campus Housing

When deciding on the most suitable Saba accommodation option after their first semester, most medical students choose to live off-campus, and various rental options are available throughout the island. These include apartments, private rooms, houses, and single rooms.

We’re here for You

Students with larger families are advised to contact the medical school Housing Coordinator well in advance to discuss their housing needs. The Housing Coordinator will assist in finding suitable housing for students arriving on Saba with a spouse or family. These options will differ from general student accommodation options. Making these arrangements approximately two months before starting their studies is recommended.
