Dr. Sangraula graduated from Tribhuvan University in Nepal and later attained a PhD-equivalent post-graduation (MD) in Pharmacology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Renowned as a dedicated teacher, professor, and mentor, Dr. Sangraula has successfully guided and mentored over 20 students in their research endeavors.

His commitment to advancing medical education and research is evident through his active participation in numerous training programs and workshops. Dr. Sangraula served as the deputy coordinator of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Program at B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Nepal for a commendable two-year term. He has also held pivotal roles throughout his academic journey, including Course Director of Pharmacology from February 2014 to April 2017. Additionally, he served as the Course Director of Clinical Correlates III, contributing significantly to the development of these academic programs.

Dr. Sangraula’s administrative prowess is evident in his role as the Convener of the Quality Control Sub-Committee at BPKIHS for two years. He also played a vital role as a member of the Examination Committee and assumed the position of Acting Dean of Examinations at BPKIHS in 2012. His multifaceted contributions have left an indelible mark on the academic and administrative landscape of BPKIHS.

  • Dissertation work on anti-inflammatory effect of a drug on different models of inflammation.

  • Received a Travel Award from International Union of Pharmacology in the World Congress of Pharmacology in San Francisco, July 2002.

  • About 20 papers published in different medical journals.

  • Active involvement in diverse pharmacological research.
  • Extensive experience in reviewing articles for various peer-reviewed journals.
  • Adept at evaluating theses submitted by PhD students at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India.

  • Participated in several conferences and delivered presentations on various topics including “Medication Safety.”
