Ismail Memon is a medical graduate and PhD with 30 years of clinical and teaching experience in Clinical Anatomy, Histology, Embryology, Neuroanatomy, and Medical Terminology. In the past, he also had clinical practice experience in Neurosurgery and Cardiac Surgery.
He has teaching experience in both the traditional and PBL curriculum. He has performed activities related to teaching, assessment, and academic administration in traditional and the modern PBL curriculum. He has vast experience in cadaver dissection.
In the area of academic administration, he has functioned as Director of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Committee, Exam coordinator, Chief coordinator, and coordinator of Anatomy, Physiology, Histology, and Medical Terminology Courses. He also remained the student’s mentor and advisor.
Dr. Memon received the University Outstanding Teacher Award and the Ten-Year Dedicated Services Award. He has been evaluated by the students as an excellent teacher.
Dr. Memon has published 20 research articles in peer-reviewed indexed journals in which he is 1st and corresponding author in 12 publications. He has presented his research work at various international conferences, including the American Association for Anatomists (AAA) annual meeting.
Dr. Memon enjoys working in a team; as a team member, he communicates effectively in a conducive environment. As a team leader, he enjoyed overwhelming support from his team and completed the tasks in a friendly environment. He is a flexible person, a good listener, and a believer in professional ethics.
He has been a member of different international scientific societies including, AAA and The Anatomical Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
