Dr. Sakhrani has been an educator, clinician, and consultant for many years.
His background includes more than two decades of clinical practice in General Surgery and Laparoscopic Surgery. After finishing his residency in general surgery, he took fellowship courses in Hong Kong and Singapore in basic and advanced minimally invasive surgery before further continuing his clinical practice in the Middle East.
He has almost ten years of teaching Clinical Anatomy and Systems and Disease, and was a former course director for Human Body Structure and Function.
Dr. Sakhrani is an active member of different societies in the field of surgery, including the Fellow of the Philippine College of Surgeons (FPCS), Asia Pacific Hernia Society (APHS, Singapore), World Laparoscopic Hospital (WLH, India), and many more.
There is a saying in surgery, in which, “A good surgeon knows HOW to operate, a better surgeon knows WHEN to operate, but the best surgeon knows when NOT to operate.”
This ideology has always been the root of his passion and the source of his motivation to encourage the younger physicians of our future that safety is of the utmost importance to their patients. As an educator, he wants to continue teaching and sharing both the knowledge and experience he has gained over the years with the new generation of medical students.
